I see no one else has mentioned this and did a search, if it has I do apologise for my blindness and obviously lock the damn thread!

I see a new service called Teleport is on the way soon and has starting in the North of England and Scotland which will enable viewers to replay programmes from the week gone past as well as look through a special library of programmes. This does sound quite good and sounds better than the record option that Sky offers because you can just access rather than setting to record.

Apart from the fact that you are limited to what is in the library.

I just got this activated the other day- I must say it's excellent. True the choice is a bit limited, but it's free and it should expand content very soon. For example, I've now seen Broken News, which I missed on Monday night and therefore wouldn't have set any PVR to record.

Very useful.

Where do I find the link to Broken News? I have cateogised options for Lifestyle, Comedy, Entertain Me, Factual, A-Z, Kids, Drama and Last Chance TV.

It doesn't appear in any of those.

Sounds like you're in the Teleport TV menu- this is a subsription service- the useful (and free) service is Teleport Replay- the best of the BBC and other services from the last week.

Simplest way of doing it is to select a choice "by day" from the Teleport Replay menu....use the left and right arrows to scroll by day back to Monday 31st and Broken News is on the second or third page down of programmes.

Well worth viewing- you can watch it anytime up til Sunday night.

True but I was surprised at how good the choice from the BBC was given that it's still in the trial phase.

The BBC have expressed a desire via the iMP to make every programme broadcast over the previous 7 days available online...it seems sensible that this would be available on Teleport and other similar services in the long-term.

Plus there's all the other channels that I'm sure will come aboard soon enough- at the moment it's only the BBC and Flextech channels (Living TV and Bravo).

And it's free!- not bad given the ability to pause, rewind and fast-forward through programmes available (and adverts of course!). You have to remember that Sky Plus costs a lot of money- this service from Telewest I think puts it in a great position to challenge Sky in areas where it's available....especially given the excellent combo deals with broadband and phone services.

No- Telewest are launching a PVR with similar functions to Sky + (although slightly more advanced- an extra tuner and HDTV compatibility) soon. Having said that, they've been saying "soon" for months now!

Although I've found the replay section, I'm getting a jarring pixelated (at times) picture. Not dissimilar to what DTT looks like in bad weather.

A bandwidth issue? My so called 4Mb connection rarely gets up to 2Mb.
