I think you're stretching the point with that large tumbler on the left that clearly says, "Asda". Have they started a TV channel?

I think we should be told.
Ah, they do have a radio station...

Pathetic though it may sound.. sorry, as it is, I'm now in a state of intrigue about how anyone gets a hold of such paraphernalia and if it's just as simple as dashing a letter off to a public relations officer.
I got a bit of a job lot of Virgin Radio mugs from a friend who worked there; the Clyde 1 one came in a goodie bag my mum got when her business was thinking of advertising with them; some have come via friends who've been to the Edinburgh TV Festival; and the rest via work.

Apart from some tat (mug, stickers and brochure) from BBC North West on a tour back in the neon "nw" logo days (which are probably in the loft), the only stuff I have is a Westcountry keyring (broken 'cos I used it) and a mousemat (unfortunatate ciggie fall melted part of the surface and made it unusable).

However, since using a castrated mouse I've not had a need for a mat, but perhaps I should collect them all the more, knowing that they will not be damaged inadvertantly.

Well, here are my collections of autographs. I have a fetish about autographs, I have so many - but these are the news ones I have.

Left to right, top row: Anna Ford, Krishnan Guru-Murphy, Trevor McDonald, Nicholas Owen, Mary Nightingale;
Left to right, bottom: Natasha Kaplinsky, Jon Snow, Andrea Catherwood, Alison Bell (the alleged cocaine-using James Hewitt bird recently on LBC) and Mark Austin.

Whereas the previous photos were more newsreaders, this one is more reporters.

Left to right, top row: Shuilie Ghosh of Al Jaz, John Sergeant, John Stapleton, John Suchet, Dermot Murnaghan;
Left to right, bottom row: Robert Moore, Sue Saville, Lauren Taylor, John Irvine and Helen Wright who was made redundant of ITV News last year.

And... Fionnuala Sweeney of CNN fame. Anchor of World News Europe. Silly person signed on the back of the photo Razz

I will keep on looking for Sandy and Reginald Bosanquet, I know I have them somewhere...

You can sleep with directors and make off with lots of tat.

Lol.

Its easier now there's only ITV plc to cope with. In my halcyon days there were 15 ITV companies.

What a weekend that was.

Those are some nice postcards but don't you feel guilty about owning postcards from places you have never been to? Maybe its just me but I would just feel odd having people see the postcards and asking about them.

"Oh, you've been to Blackpool? How was it?"
"Actually, I've never been. I'm just a fan of television presentation."
"Oh! Well... I hear its really windy anyway."
"Yeah"
"So.... Television presentation, eh? Sounds interesting."
*embarrassed silence*

Seems you've missed the point - they're not postcards and the location isn't important Cool

I should mention that they've barely seen the light in the last 9 years having lived in an unlabelled envelope in amongst lots of other junk!

I think all I have are two BBC/CBBC branded mugs from a BBC Shop in 2000. Oh yes, and a 'The Way In' careers book, and a BBC H&S guide from 1996. What a collection...
