Hi, just wondering if the following can be confirmed. Around 2 hours ago the teleivsion fell off air, Ive rang a few mates who are also experiencing simular problems. the terristreal signal has vanished, although digital is working fine. The area effected as i understand is Shropshire, however Wrexham and other places could be effected, Moz could you confirm.
edit: BBC 1/2 ITV Channel 4 five are still off air - 10:54
According to Radio 2, Fathers for Justice have claimed it was an act of sabotage no their part...
And there was me thinking it was a joke... it's true.
According to BBC Five Live, a television transmitter in Shropshire has been sabotaged by someone claiming to be part of Fathers for Justice. So there's your answer.
That's why you are supposed to put televisions on secure surfaces such as tables. Television will inevitably fall off the air otherwise.
But seriously folks...
Matrix, meant the Television signal, not the surface where the tv was standing...
It was a joke you fool. You even quoted the "But seriously folks" and still didn't realise! I doubt all of the television sets across the Midlands would spontaneously fall to the ground one night.

What a bunch of raving idiots Fathers 4 Justice are.... sabotaging their best means of communicating their objections and objectives.....
There's just been a report on Five Live which said homes in and around Shrewsbury had their televsion cut off (don't they realise how big the Wrekin's coverage area is? Practically all of Shropshire, parts of Staffordshire, the west West Midlands, the Welsh borders...) that some homes had already had service restored (surely its an all or nothing situation?) and that Fathers for Justice had phoned BBC Radio (they didn't say which station) to say they'd sabotaged it, but it's not been confirmed.
