Ok, for me so far the Christmas pres has been rather dissapointing for me (and a bit early BBC).

But I just wanted to get what you people think - what has been the best year for a channel's Christmas Presentaion?? I think the ITV1 Snowflakes 2003 was nice and the Christmas Lights 2004 was good.

If the pres that you feel is the best is not there then just upload it. I could not fit any more poll options on so you just have to say if you like other christmas pres (like this years BBC1 Snowball)

its got to be the BBC1 christmas globes. the santa one, even though there was only one version, was spectacular and i loved the aardman one too-the last special balloon variant *sob*
BBC2 lights show is a close 2nd, with the itv1 winterland in 3rd.

My favouritest ever festive presentation was on BBC1 when I was quite young. I'm sure it was during the COW era, possibly either Dec 1989 or Dec 1990.

It was all this "pop-up" reality coming out of a book. I think it was something like a wizard walking up a staircase into a fairytale castle, or something. My memory is very very hazy. When the book shuts, its front cover has a moon (possibly with a smiley face?) on it, instead of a globe (I think). Nothing's ever topped that IMHO.

I also really really liked the festive Carlton hearts. And especially the "champagne bubbles" Carlton hearts idents for New Years.

No contest- BBC1 Globe.

Things change but they don't, necessarily, get better.

I voted for ITV1 2004/5 Christmas idents. Have to see what they can come up with this year!

The ITV snowflakes were beautiful, so that's what I went for.

oh dear, what's it going to be then - normal idents with a sparkle on the logo ala 2002?

ITV 2003 has to be my favourite. The celebrity idents they had to endure were bad, but it's own design generic idents and the modified promos were very well made with excellent animation. In fact if I'm not mistaken it's still in use on UTV in forms this christmas (I think it's used with Watch to Win).

they couldnt do that: beach would look awful. in fact the only one that would work would be 'bike', just.
