If they will have a permanent presence there, then they could still have a BBC logo on the building. After all, part of MediaCityUK is rented by the BBC, but they have their logo on the buildings they occupy.

I can't see it still being called 'BBC Television Centre', though. I like the idea of 'Shepherd's Bush Studios'.

If they did rename it to something geographical like that then it would be Shepherd's Bush Television Centre, it is such a well known building and keeping the same use they won't want to remove its identity. They will want to remove the BBC's though.

Surely simply "The Television Centre"?

But I think 'Television Centre' will be more valuable than 'Shepherd's Bush Studios' that just sounds like all the other independently owned studios in the country. They'd be mad not use the Television Centre name, if they can.

I see what you mean, but Shepherd's Bush Studios (or even W12 Studios) goes along the same lines as other commercial operations such as 'The London Studios', 'Wimbledon Studios' etc.

Or 'The London Television Centre'?

That was a former name of LWT's building so unlikely.

Although it's often referred to as "The London Studios", the building's official name is still "London Television Centre" (The London Studios Ltd is the company name).

White City Television Centre?

White City Studios?

Surely "Television Centre" is fine. If you say "TV Centre" or "Telly Centre" to anyone in the UK broadcast industry they'll know what you mean.

From the press release, BBC Worldwide will occupy the offices at the front of the building and BBC S&PP will run the studios. So I don't see why it wouldn't be called Television Centre and I'm sure the BBC logo will stay up too.

Yeah, here in Hull, the BBC occupy the bottom two floors of a building called Queens Court. Of course, there's a BBC sign above the front entrance. The upper floors are residential. They don't have to own the building to have a sign up.
