"Nottingham is a fine city with a fascinating history. It's well documented in official records that the city's original name was 'Snottingham', or 'Home of Snots', but when the Normans came, they couldn't pronounce the letter 'S', so decreed the town be called 'Nottingham' or the 'Home of Notts'. It's easy to understand why this change was resisted so fiercely by the people of Scunthorpe."

There was no need for that first statement but it would certainly reflect the regulatory stance of the day that any "adult" section on Oracle didn't survive beyond one night.
It was still bad editorial judgement for the adult character to share the same name as the children's cartoon character, particularly when the potential existed for the wrong pages to be broadcast at the wrong time in the event of a technical problem (which did occur in Teletext's early days).

[Sorry to dent your past is better approach but even ORACLE tried its hand at "adult" material with a section albeit a massive multipage affair which lasted for a whopping one night.

Anyway, Turner the Screw and all that appeared in a section after 11pm when the kiddywinks should be safely in bed. Either that or they were watching Carlton's Good Sex Guide! and from what I remember the kids section which at the time was on ITV only transmitted to 9pm at night telling people to come back the following day.

This is a great example of how forum word censors take their job literally. One recurring problem for me in my forum days was the blocking of "Arsenal" in any football-related threads, blocked because of the first four letters. After a few complaints I managed to make the filter more specific so that the first four letters on their own were blocked, and the plural of the same word, but not the name of the football team. It was trial and error really.

Heaven help Teletext if they ever have to run an item on that place on Orkney which begins with a "T" and follows this with, in order, "w", "a" and two "t"s.
Suddenly, Sc***horpe doesn't seem so bad!
