I quite like the logo. I'm not sure if it's better than the current logo. Very retro indeed.

Only one word for that.... Yuck.
I also note that the background straps that the logo and page number used to sit on, at the top of the screen, have been totally done away with, with the nice lighting effects. Looks horribly plain and cheap.
We haven't just gone back to 1973 for "Life On Mars". It seems graphic design has gone back to 1973 too, as the whole 'art' of the business has been dragged down to the rudimentary and embryonically-developed 'point and click' design skills of the current generation of meeja students, as there are precious few people who still want to try and drag them up to the level of true professional creativity.
Perhaps this is the epitomal definition of the phrase, "creative execution".
EDIT: Oh dear. It seems nearly all the pages fail to load too, now. The page layout and design looks so much more basic and far less inviting than the way it was before.

It's... different! Here's a question for you all - Is 'Teletext Holidays' not part of the brand 'Teletext' then? Reason I ask is that Teletext on digital has still got the same logo.... Would'nt they have changed the whole look completly (for 'Teletext') if it
was
part of the brand then? Answers on this forum!

They are the same company, I think they're just testing the water with it, there's nothing wrong with that. Best example I can think of is ITV4 having the new ITV logo on-screen another 2 months before it was seen on the other channels.

Alot of companies like to do that - update on logo, people say it's ****, so they update all their logos in the same style!

The new look has also come to Teletext Holidays on Sky. It's identical to Freeview except it has a background gradient and a video to the left of the main menu.
