Teletext is to end on December 14th and 15th according to P139 on Teletext, it appears Digital is going first and then the Analogue one the day after.

Unless your Region has had DSO than Analogue Teletext will have gone already.

Such a shame. Sky Text it is then, unless the BBC sort their act out. They may have the content, but unlike Teletext and Sky Text, navigating BBC Text has never been made as easy as finding your way around Ceefax.

You know, until a few weeks ago I could have said that I hadn't looked at analogue teletext for years... but the knowledge that it's about to go has got me using it again.

I just feel old. 17 years since Oracle went. Where's my life going?

Granada hasn't switched yet, they've a few weeks of analogue left

I've just double checked then and this is the correct listing...

Dec 14th - Teletext on ITV and C4 on Sky will cease on this day
Dec 15th - Teletext on ITV, C4 and Five analogue and Digital will cease, as well as it's Editorial service thing on Freesat.

Ceefax on BBC2 in the Granada area has gone - but everything else is still there for another 3 weeks or so...

15 days later

There's a nice `Farewell to Teletext` section now live on ITV Page 105.

It includes memories from staff who've worked on the service, highlights, a page from when Diana died, old page logos like `Planet Sound` - `Ace` - and `Sauce` -
It also features old characters like WLW and Bamber Boozle.

There's also a special edition of `Turner the Worm`

Glad I managed to catch this.. my analogue Teletext is turned off tonight at Winter Hill.

That's a nice little section. They're changing pages and adding new features between now and the close - there's a Bamboozle quiz about Teletext appearing on Friday

Good to see that they've kept some of the old pages, I hope that they've thought about archiving them permanately somewhere

Well the BBC have archived loads of Ceefax pages, so I'm sure Teletext will do the same and probably create a section on their site covering the Teletext era before it just became a holidays company.

But the BBC have a legal duty to keep examples of their output!

Sadly I don't have access to analogue tv no more, there is a digital version on Page 105 of this without the graphics so it isn't the same so if anyone can get any screengrabs of the analogue version, it would be very much appreciated.
