Time warp news just in

Report filed: 20th July 2033 by Moira Stewart clone #347

The latest reality 3D-TV event has launched today on C4I (the former Channel 4 International station):
Big Brother Moon .
18 contestants were taken by SuperShuttle to the newly-built Endemol house situated in a small crate
acquired last year by the production company. They will remain in the house for the next 14 weeks,
deprived of any contact with Earth, except the voice of Big Brother, who will control what they do. Each
week, the public on Earth can vote by videophone, cerebral implant or telepathy for the contestant they
wish to see evicted, who will then have to step into the airlock and be exposed to the near vacuum
outside. In the brief few seconds before death occurs, Davina McColl neural clone #984 will be
downloaded into their brain for a debrief / interview, which will be uncondensed and shown later in
the evening. Rumours are already beginning about whether one of the contestants will be a transexual.

Funnily enough, I thought up something very similar to that, over in the Mock Designs forum several weeks ago . . .

*

The thread started off titled as "Lunar BIG Brother". I added a new mock two days later, and renamed the thread
to "BIG Brother . . . in unusual places . . . ", and it's still around, if anyone feels like adding any new mocks to it?

Click the mock image above to revisit the thread in question

Go on . . . you know you want to . . . !

Well I was one of the housemates in the teen big brother house and I am well glad that it is on now rather than january and also that it is on in a prime time slot. We were way too good to go on during the day lol Very Happy

Don't encourage him, please!

Anyhow, Teen Big Brother: The Experiment starts on Monday at 10pm and is screened every weeknight for an hour and ten minutes. Dermot O'Leary presents - so at last he'll get to do an eviction!!!

Dilemma: I do think that Dermot deserves a crack at Davina's job - but then Davina would have to go, and to be honest, she's not budging!

I think Dermot should move on from BBLB now, because he's the producer after all, and it'd make things a lot easier for him - also he wasn't as funny last time :S

I think the main reason it moved to C4 was to encourage Dermot to stay. I wonder if there is a BBLB reunion style programme for Teen Big Brother?

Next year I think BBLB should move back to E4 for it's weeknight shows - perhaps with a new presenter. C4 should keep the Sunday edition, then have another hour-long late night edition either on Mondays (revealing the nominations) or Thursdays (previewing evictions) or both!

I'm surprised no-one else has bothered to bump this thread back to the first page, seeing as the coverage
of Teen BIG Brother started last night on Channel 4 and E4. I'd have thought there would've been at least
one member of TVF who might take issue against Hassan's views on homosexuality.

Basically, for those that may have missed it last night, Hassan was asked about his views on gay people,
due to him being a practising Muslim, to which he said that whereas people's religions are God given,
homosexuality is a nothing more than a personal choice of lifestyle.

I do like Big Brother, but to be honest, TEEN Big Bro is not much really. I think the Housemates are not bad, but they were getting on my nerves a little after watching Days 1-4 on C4 and E4 last night. That girl who was going on about having 16 One night stands and "Use to be Gay but not anymore" I think will get on the others nerves.
The Camp Guy was playing up a little. I wish he would just sit still for 2 seconds!! As for Jade and Tommy, well Today I found out that when they had sex in the house they did not use a Condom and apparently She asked for the morning after pill the next day!! Big Brother should at least provide rubbers!!! Not very good for 4Learning is it. People having Unprotected Sex!! But anyway, I'm not surprised Sex happened. Surprised a mass orgy did not break out. If 4Learning had to edit all that out, they would have nothing left!

As for Hassan’s comments on Homosexuality - Heard it all before from the same people. Well could not care less. I did think he was VERY rude just calling him a Puff. If I were in the house, I would not be to pleased about being called something by someone who I hardly know! I don’t think he would like it if Paul was rude to him.

All in all, well I’ll watch it to the end just out of interest as it still would be nice to know who has won. However, I still don’t think that 4 will make another ‘Kiddie’ big bro series.

I watched some of it last night, it was OK but the problem is just as you are getting into it it will end as its only on until Friday.

I know who wins as I read it in the paper but wont say who it is to spoil it - I think it would have worked better if it was done live like the usual series of BB.

Jade and Tommy? The same two who nominated each other last night and calmly claimed they just found it hard to communicate, and didn't click with? Kids, good grief Exclamation

I only ever watch the short term big brother series, because I can't stand 10 weeks or whatever - less chance to chance upon a load of wannabe's who get the press creaming themselves. I am quite enjoying this - some marvellous teenage qualleling going on. When watching it is always worth baring in mind that all teenagers are in fact mentally disturbed, and there is nothing they can do about it. It's natural.

So what will are we likely to learn from this experiment? I think the moral of the story is that those who believe they are the most mature, infact never are. Witness the overweight black girl who thinks she's seen it all before and the young irish gay who can't cope with differing opinions to him.
To me, those who are putting themselves across as any normal person would wish to are the Scottish golfing guy and the blond girl who forgot to pack her bra.

They are in a difficult position there. By providing condoms, they would be accussed of encouraging sex. In the normal version condoms are available as part of the shopping list, while in other versions they are provided freely. Really, I think the best solution would be to provide them on request from the diary room.

Teen Big Brother basically appears to be one huge bitch-fest. I still prefer the normal version, but as a one off special it's a good way to fill the schedule and a nice alternative to the celebrity versions.

Not necessarily. Apparently there has been research done and other stuff, and apparently providing Condoms does not encourage sex anymore than somewhere having no condoms at all. And lets face it, once those 2 kids made up their minds that they were going to have sex, it frankly does not matter if there were condoms in the house or not. They were going to have sex and no one could stop them. Simple as.
Oh and it was Dr……oh God, I can picture him but not his name! Well someone on the tele who mentioned the fact about providing condoms.

Anyway, Its the sex tonight I think. Day 6 right, On E4 last night I think. Not that watching kids bonk is that exciting!!

Hassan! What a boring homophobe. He sits there whinging and excluding himself from group conversation and activities and then whines when he gets nominated. Good riddance.

I reckon the bald guy (Tom?) will win - he seems to get on with everyone.

Some excellent bitching. Much better than the last series of normal Big Brother.

So the winner is Paul. My choice would have been Tommy, but with no public vote I don't get a say.

A very good prize for a show intended for a daytime educational slot - a £30k round the world prize - at the cost of raising the main series prize to £100k.

I thought the twist of Paul having to choose a travelling companion was very good, but think the voting for the winner should have been a secret ballot - Caroline had no choice but to vote Paul. I also think that disqualification should have meant complete disqualification and James should have had no vote (although it didn't affect the outcome).

Teen Big Brother wasn't bad as a TV programme - but not as an education experiment. It made more interesting TV than sticking in a bunch of celebs, but it's a shame that they didn't experiment with the US Head of Household system (analysing teenagers response to leadership!!!).

Maybe next an OAP Big Brother would be interesting - how differently would a group of pensioners act compared to teenagers and the normal BB housemates.
