I've no idea what channel Taskmaster will end up on but, whichever it is, I really hope it retains pretty much the same format: with the same hosts and similar types of guests (i.e. mainly comedians and not reality or soap stars). Provided it does, then I really don't mind which channel it's on.

Remember it'll be the same company and the same team making the show wherever it ends up. Avalon produce it, and Alex Horne and Greg Davies are managed by them. They won't change and neither should the style of the show, Alex is exec producer and its very much his vision

A proper hands-on exec producer rather than a vanity title too, I believe.

Yes, he came up with the idea for the show and along with Avalon pitched it to broadcasters. He seems to come up with a lot of the tasks too.

Seems the right move, and I think the slight break will help too.

Just a shame Dave isn't signing off with a Champions of Champions special.

Although a champion of champions series/special would be a good way of introducing the show to Channel 4's audience to the show and the nature of the games.

Hilarious how when this was first reported everyone was bashing C4 and then when the rumours of a move to BBC One surfaced, they were worried that it wouldn't work because it'd be too mainstream and it'd be better on C4! The press release clearly indicates it was a move on behalf of the producers to get a wider audience.
Brekkie, London Lite and DeMarkay gave kudos

Nice to see Dave (at least publicly) responding in a dignified way

Of course. Anything but mention the £ involved.

Sure. But again, a move on behalf of the producers. Not this idea of Channel 4 coming in and stealing it away that people got in their heads like with Bake Off. The production company wanted more money/exposure/whatever.
