Except when they repeat the same episodes to death.
Good to see it back though. Didn't Clive James do the original show back in the 80s?

I stopped watching when it became clear we could no longer laugh and take pride in knowing that us Britt's would never resort to such sick extreme stuff in the name of entertainment. Can anyone remember watching japanese people eating bugs on "Tarrent On TV' 5/6 years ago and thinking "what the **** is this?". What you've been laughing at tonight will no doubt be ITV1's Saturday night schedule in 5 years time.

I hope so, why not! If the people who do it want to then why not.

Absolutely. The Japanese were just a few years ahead of Europe in the bad taste stakes, as has been proven since. And whereas the Japanese programmes were an outlet for an otherwise mainly conformist and respectful society, the Brits seem to have taken this rubbish into the heart of their culture, which is far far worse.

Yes ... AFAIK, Chris Tarrant took over in 1989. Can't remember how long "Clive James on Televison" ran for though.
Keith Floyd did it between James and Tarrant, but not for long.
