Tanya Beckett leaving Breakfast

Tanya Beckett, it has just been revealed, will be leaving the BBC's Breakfast programme at the end of next week!

I wonder what she will be doing? Possibly this new Business Programme on at 05.30, before Breakfast?

Nah she probably leaving the BBC altogether!

You'd have heard Jeremy and Sophie talking about the new Business Programme at 5.30am and that Tanya will be presenting it!
Does it matter anyway? I doubt many (if any) of us are city traders...

Ah, I've not you see - on holidays I don't get up until its just going off! Today I was up a bit earlier as I had a mate over today.

Is the business programme on BBC1 only or will it be a joint news24/BBC1 thing - and when does it start?

Tanya will be presenting the new 0530 edition of World Business Report which will be on BBC1, News 24 and BBC World.
It's part of a whole new look 0500-0600 hour from the beginning on September.
Cue slightly new look set in BBC World (oh should I have mentioned that!) ... plus a few weekends of BBC World coming from News 24 while it's built!

What's going to be on between 5-5.30 in this 'new look hour' then? Mind you, the thought of anyone getting up that early is too difficult for me to handle!

Why can't World have a few weekends of News 24...I'd like to watch News 24 for a change...

I wish they would do something with the news 24 set, its so dull and empty, why cant they have a new studio like BBC World's. So Nicky, is this sligfht change to the bbc world studio to do with those purply silver pains in the background of the studio. I do hope News 24 has a shake up, the idents need to be changed to look more like BBC World's cause it looks more like a news programme than a news channel.

While i am having a rant i will mention some more of my BBC News grievences...

The Sport studio on News 24, why not let the news come from the new BBC Sport Studios, a small section with a view of the whole studio in corporate esc style.

Please nicky try get news 24 to change soon, updated set, new astons removing the purple for orange or red like on breakfast, also red and creme colours for graphix please.

other than that, BBC CORPORATE NEWS RULZ, MUCH BETTER THAN ANYTHING ELSE EVER!!!!!

So on these weekend where BBC World will have News 24, will News 24 keep its current style, or will they use the World idents, headline bed, and World News stings?

Will this be an opportunity for Asa?
