Rumours in the usual gutter press sources that ITV are about to film a new Trisha pilot next week, although their 'sources' seem conflicted as if to it is to replace the Jeremy Kyle slot or be afternoon filler
Quite surprised it took a genius at ITV to propose the idea, thought it may have been the purpose of her appearing on Dancing On Ice at the start of the year!
Her show tanked when she went to Channel 5. Her American show didn't work either. I think the era of having those shows in the morning is gone and they shouldn't bother trying to bring it back. Besides, I'm sure the close knit love in of ITV daytime talent wouldn't be too happy about their shows having to be moved around to accommodate her show.

They are mostly, if not all, represented by the same talent agency and they are the same rotation of presenters used on the majority of ITV's daytime and some prime time programming and seem like a close knit group of friends.
Schofield in particular behaves at times like he is Mr ITV and is untouchable and can get away with whatever he wants.
I don't think there is much demand for this. ITV certainly won't change their morning line up now so if a show went ahead it would likely be at 2pm or even on ITV2 which used to get very decent ratings for their Jeremy Kyle triple Bill's in the afternoon. However using Trisha makes very little sense if they really want a new talk show - look forward, not back.

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if ITV are possibly planning this in case they have to take Ellen off air, considering some of the allegations that have come out stateside.

It won't be the allegations themselves but the subsequent drop in audience, its lost 38% since the start of its current run.
Seems unlikely that they'd replace a cheap import with some original production.

Those shows have only had their current durations / TX times for about 9-10 months to date, after aeons of never occupying the old JK slot.
In the massively unlikely event of anyone from GMB/Lorraine/TM actually "throwing the dolly out of the pram" if that 55-minute slot were given to The Second Coming Of Trisha™ (or anything else), ITV bosses' answer would surely be that as they have no great tradition of any claim to that slot they can jolly well whistle dixie?
