What we would like:-
2.45am-Closedown/testcard
5.00am-4-Tel on view
9.30am-Channel 4 schools!
Thats basically the weekend kids show schedule with the old weekday bewitched and 4 learning.
What kind of people would want to sit in front of the tv and watch 4 tel on view!? Im glad channel 4 bother to put out programming 24 hours a day, they are very good at it and if you cant sleep there is usually something on even the repeat of countdown!
C4 are certainly the best UK overnight broadcaster - there are a few hidden gems at 3am in the morning!
One possibility not discussed - The Morning Line. I think C4 might look favourabley on a daily version of their Saturday morning racing magazine. Maybe with T4 taking over Saturday mornings, C4 could have a Sport on 4 zone every weekday morning.
It would certainly be an alternative without going down the light entertainment route.
I think they should show a variety of programmes, with early news updates like they had on RI:SE and each programme being introduced by Mel and Sue in a studio and occasional interviews, competitions and talking in that studio... kinda Early Morning CITV/CBBC for older people if you see what I mean.

thats a good idea as it happens.
Being a RI:SE fan apart of me is glad that its ending here, at least it won’t have to go through a number of humiliating revamps like the big breakfast had to.
It wasn't until after the first ad break at 7.07am this morning that the first mention was made of the axing when (and I quote) "We're back and I'm Kate Lawler, and (Ian) I'm looking for a job as of 20th of December"!!!
Channel 4 obviously can't get breakfast TV right anymore... so why not just go back to good old 4-Tel on View from say 6:30am-9am - of course it will be called FourText on view now!
FourText has itself been axed (why hasn't this already been mentioned?) and closes on September 30th. Teletext on 4 launches on C4's 400s the next day, with the current content of the 400s moving to the 300s, and swapping partially with 150-199 as well. For example, Films will be on 310, GameCentral on 375, C4News info on 470.
It is therefore impossible for Channel 4 to use in-view Teletext any more. The digital FourText has already closed.
And Mr Vertigan suggested they put FourText in it's place. What I was saying - and I'm surprised no-one beat me to it - was that that was impossible because it itself was going. It was
not
off topic.
