News junkies here will probably appreciate BBC Two's Taking the Flak - about a BBC News crew in a war-torn country.

Think of the war reports from Drop the Dead Donkey, but spun out into a 6x60 series. I suspect it's rather true to life, too.

I was surprised BBC News agreed to be involved in it. Whilst it's obviously tongue in cheek, the way it shows the fictional journos setting up dodgy interviews etc is something I'd have expected the real BBC News to run a mile from.

I couldn't help noticing that on the shots of news presenters throwing to fake OBs the video wall image was added in post production rather than really being on the Barcos. Not sure whether it was just my being an anorak that made it stick out like a sore thumb or whether your average viewer would have noticed that the picture looked much better than it should have, with no joins between the screens etc.

They at least made an effort and put the reflection on the desk...
