Taggart March 1994

Hi folks, wonder if anyone could tell me what episode of Taggart was shown on the evening of Saturday 19th March 1994, Yorkshire ITV region? 'Twas the evening my old man died and I always wondered what he watched last...(no kidding)....Thanks, Nick

Unless anyone here has ready access to something like The Times Digital Archive your best bet would be to try a big library which holds old newspapers or TV listings magazines.

Taggart wasn't on that night, it was Inspector Morse.

Taggart never went out on Saturdays has it?

It has a couple of times, not as a series but some of the two hour episodes have. But not in this case, the only drama on ITV that night - after You Bet and Barrymore - was a Morse repeat at 8.30. Taggart wasn't on at all that week, in fact.

Hmmm, just looked it up....it seems to be Series 7, which was made in 2002-2004? And it was a 2-parter. So perhaps it wasn't the one shown on March 19th 1994 after all but I'm certainly no Morse expert. Can anyone confirm? Thanks, Nick.......

John Thaw died in 2002 - Series 7 was made in 1993. I've had a look at the Times Digital Archive on that date, and the episode was shown in full at 8:00pm, and was indeed a repeat.
