If OFCOM can increase the tariff for any huge conglomerate organisation headed by Michael Grade then ITV as we presently know it would be confined to the Dusty Bin (yes, the Dusty Bin from 3-2-1 ) of history. Which would be no bad thing.

and is Yorkshire also paying �37,700,000 a year

and SMG pay Will Grampian Television �720,000 plus �2000 for STV?

All of that was scrubbed around 1998, and they went back to paying an amount proportional to the income of the region. So all a total waste of time really -- and a classic Tory smash-and-grab of ITV finances.
