T4 Saturday

T4 this morning started advertising a new strand called T4 Saturday, which I guess will start a week on Saturday.

With the Saturday Show going and SM:tv on it's way out, I think it might do quite well, programmes permitting.

The strand will include Friends (surprise, surprise), Smash Hits Chart Show, Smallville and The Salon, and will probably run from around 10am.

Therefore it looks as if the Sport on 4 strand will be restricted to 7-10am.

A natural progression for T4 I think, but they really need some new hosts now - does anyone actually like June Sarpong? It would also be good to see more original programmes from T4 rather than endless repeats of Friends.

They have obviously being toying with the idea, thus why they were showing friends from 10 and that dirty laundry programme on saturdays.

When Dermot & Margherita were around, and andi was at the helm, T4 was great due to good presenters, good UK productions, great guests, a nice homely set that wasnt too much over the top and simple yet effective graphics. Plus humour and competitons like that one with the duvets, what was that all about.

Anyway. During this point they used to have a T4 tuesday/friday & saturday strand. Where they shownt Dawson's creek first in the week at 6pm then repeated it on Saturday Afternoons. Though viewers didnt like it and they put the repeat back to sundays.

When T4 first took over from The Bigger Breakfast in the school holidays, they had Joe Challands presenting with June from a smaller studio but they had competitions, phone ins and phone in games as well as guests and bands and it was really like the bigger breakfast in a different location, with an upper floor window looking over London.

I hope T4 can return to this soon, Im not much for the three that are presenting now, nor the programmes; they may all be excellent presenters but at times it seems so life less. I dont like the new studio or graphics it seems a bit too plain and boring; and I used to like the old studio windows and cheap set.
