Can't BBC Wales afford logos anymore!

Just plain typed 'BBC' on Wales v Russia (November 2003)

I know it's a bit late, but on Saturday's BBC One Wales coverage of the Wales v Russia match, the score DOG had the following...

BBC | Russia 0 - 0 Wales

Rather than

|B|B|C| | Russia 0 - 0 Wales

It was a black and red (I think) box with the yellow line and everything, but instead of the boxed |B|B|C| logo, it was just plain typed BBC!

This probably should have gone into The Almighty Wales Thread.

Why should I trawl through 200+ pages of stuff about Wales to see if this has been mentioned, and why should anyone else trawl thru to read my post?

As it is, they can see immediately that there's a new topic, see what it's about, decide whether or not to read it, without any trawling. They couldn't do this is it was in the depth of some stupid 200+ page thread.

This is why we shouldn't have threads like that - but please, let's not start that one again!

Back on thread please...

But what else is there to say about this topic? They used the letters "BBC", instead of the BBC logo. That's all that can be said about it.

Lack of anything worth saying has never stopped people on this forum, lets face it.

100 pages of BBC News changes and the only thing we know is it will be launched on December 1st and will be, er.. different.

Why would you trawl through 200+ pages when it only happened on Saturday. Which was.. *checks* ..three days ago. People always use the "trawling through" excuse for this, it's bizarre.

Anyway, you fight a losing battle mentioning anything other than HTV in there, so you were probably wise.

I agree this should have gone in the Wales thread - anyway what can you expect from BBC Wales, at least HTV have their proper logo on sporting events, even if it is their propaganda "ITV1 Wales" nonsence

Other stuff apart from "HTV News with Lucy Cohen" is discussed in the Wales thread isnt it Wink

Well at least BBC Wales is still broadcast from Wales, unlike ITV1 Wales!

I receive my pictures for ITV1Wales from the Wenvoe transmitter which is based just outside Cardiff. As far as I know this transmitter is within the boundary of Wales and so ITV1Wales is still broadcast FROM Wales TO Wales!

ITV1 Wales is transmitted from LNN in London -- hardly regional!. But BBC1 Wales, BBC2 Wales and BBC 2W are transmitted from BBC Wales in Cardiff.
