So proud of my son

Hi I went shopping with my 12 year old son last Tuesday as he needed new school shoes.

He told me that he wants plimsolls as he knows my money is quite tight at the minute. I asked him if he’s sure and he said yes plus he said some of his new friends wear them. so I bought him the plain black lace up plimsolls which cost £3.50.

It makes me happy that he understands money can sometimes be tight it actually made me a bit emotional. I’ve recently split up with my ex who I was with for 8 years. We’ve moved back to where my family are so son has started a new school a couple of weeks ago.

Has anyone else had a similar situation with there kids recently ?

His new school has a jumper and polo shirt style uniform

I'm sorry to say this but I think you have the wrong website, this is TV Forum not Mumsnet.

They’ve posted this on mumsnet and netmums according to a quick google search so this might just be copypasta spam.
