Does Susan Osman, from BBC Points West, still present on BBC News 24/World on Sunday mornings??

Good question, as she never used to do the Friday 18:30 Points West, but DID do it last night.

Mind you, that could have just been a change round for Children in Need duties.

I'm sure someone (I Hate?, noggin?, Nicky?) will know.

I've seen her on a few overnight simulcasts within the last month.

On the subject of Susan - why do the BBC still bring her in from Bristol for one night a week? Surely there is someone based in London who could do it every Sunday morning? Or is it stipulated in her contract that she has to do a few N24 shifts?

Surely she is based in Bristol and is chromakey-ed in at London. Because there isnt an actual proper studio for News 24 atm it seems totally possibly to use chromakey from Bristol!

That particular contract is probably NOT a good area to stray into!

I mean, discussion of the hairdressing allowance alone could easily stretch to about thirty pages!

I believe Susan is freelance, and not on a staff contract, which means she can do stuff like News 24 outside of her Points West duties.

Don't forget, she also presents the morning show on BBC Radio Bristol ...

The change around this week was just for Children In Need - all four main presenters were on that night.
