Did 'r Cilla die without telling me? Wonder if she was even interested, who else will get to belt out the theme now? But it returning is a bit "that's nice dear", it's fine it is returning for no reason but it's not really something had it been a new concept I'd have interest in.

What a boring and pointless idea. There are over 100 episodes available that never get shown any more, why do the think a new series is needed?

What do you mean 100ep never got broadcast? And why

I think in some way he means it never gets repeated so he doesn't see the draw in resurrecting it.

Wikipedia says there were 128 episodes, why are they never repeated? I guess no company thinks it would fit on their channel(s). Some episodes have been repeated by Granada Plus at some point.

Not sure Holly would be right for this. I've always thought though it would be the perfect vehicle for Fern Britton.

We asked 100 people to name something associated with Surprise Surprise. Our survey said...

o Cilla Black

o Theme Tune

o Long lost relatives being reunited by researchers with access to information that an average audience member would not have access to in the pre-internet age.

o London Weekend Television

o British Telecom

A show without these elements won't be Surprise Surprise in anything but name. Also, wouldn't setting someone up for a surprise be a form of cyber bullying now?

Now now, no need to resort to Daily Mail-style logical fallacies in order to make this idea sound stupid.

I'm sure it can't be very pleasant to be going about your daily activities minding your own business only for Black to tap you on the shoulder use you in her show for a few minutes and then move on. This was probably before after care was commonly provided by TV shows too, so what happens when Black and the crew have moved on to the next person? You are left with a long lost relative to clean and take to the toilet for the rest of their life, all for the sake of a few minutes of television.
