Supermarket Sweep (pretty much) confirmed to return

According to this post on Twitter, Supermarket Sweep is coming back after all (yay!) with Rylan hosting (yay!) for ITV2 (urgh)...

Have ITV2 commissioned anything else for pre-watershed in recent times?

I was hoping they'd put it into the 9:25am slot on itv for the four weeks. I get Rylan is more itv2 - but I think they should be using that 9:25am slot as experimental ground for shows like this - plus that was its original slot.

I agree, what might happen is, show it firstly on ITV2, and then possibly repeat it on ITV.

Expect it to be repeated on challenge a few months later of original broadcast

ITV2 seems like an odd fit as they haven't done much for the 8pm slot and I can't imagine it'd work at 9pm.

I wonder if this is going to be like Coach Trip when it moved to E4? Yoofed up to the max to meet the channel demo?

Metropol fans will be pleased to hear that this series will be funded, at least in part, by a supermarket. Have fun guessing which one!
