I see there still rehashing the "Best time ever"

What do you mean?

Could it be a reference to the US version of SNT called "Best Time Ever" that was cancelled by NBC after only one season ... ?

I know what the US version was called, I’m unsure what the poster meant by “they are rehashing it”.

Personnel I think best time ever an awful phrase and any remake should stay well clear.

Still no explanation how Sunday Night Takeaway is rehashing Best Time Ever.

I do think it's in the wrong slot though - aired at 7.30pm, was supposed to be in a 90 minute slot but as all Aussie shows do it over ran and aired through to 9.30pm. With the biggest show in Australia (Married at First Sight) head to head with it I think they should have got to air an hour earlier to capture that family audience, especially as Aussie TV pretty much switches off at 8.30pm.

How does a show “over run” like this? Did it start late?

How common is that in Australian TV? As it rarely happens here.

I took Brekkie to mean it was dragged out for longer than it had to be which seems a common feature of Australian shows but I might be wrong.

Very common - almost a nightly occurrence. Not unusual at all for even recorded shows to run 20-30 minutes longer than billed.

Partially recorded on the Saturday Night Takeaway set in Studio 1 at The (now defunct) London Studios.

I wonder if it was filmed at TLS though, as looking closely on the shot of the audience you can see Ant stood at the top of the stairs waiting to be introduced - the majority of the shots of the hosts at TLS are close up and could have just been mocked up and then edited in? Equally, ISTR all the pilots of The Chase USA were recorded at The London Studios so it wouldn't surprise me if they did fly them out!

Yea it just looks like a good edit to me.

I agree it's probably just an edit.

Sunday Night Takeaway was announced in September 2018, several months after The London Studios closed.
