Has Sue Beardsmore left Midlands Today?

I watched Midlands Today this evening and after the bulletin there was a promo for Midlands Today of an evening and it showed Nick Owen and Suzanne Virdee (sp?) (News), Shefali Oza (Weather) and Steve Clamp (Sport) so I was wandering if Sue Beardsmore has left and if so then why and where is she now?

I think we'd know about it if she'd left. We have many BBC Midlands West correspondants here.

Why weren't she in the promo then?

Well they no doubt produce a new trailer each week or fortnight. They use the most up-to-date clips, and maybe Sue wasn't presenting that week.
Eg. they probably show a trailer on a Monday which has clips of the presenters who were on the week before. I don't know, but she aint gone.

sue is still there - granted she doesnt present as much anymore (it certainly doesnt feel like a 50/50 split between her and suzanne anymore). we can only imagine there are personal reasons for the change - or perhaps the new arrangement suits her - i cant imagine they would sideline sue with her being so popular.

i think her omission from the trailer was down to the fact nick, suzanne and shefali were sharing presenting shifts that week - with sue only reappearing on the firday tea time (after the trailer had made its debut)

if sue did leave the programme, im sure theyd mention it on the show - after all, she is miss pebble mill (with kay being mrs pebble mill)

I'd better get my request for a return visit to BBC Birmingham in quickly then!! Sue's one of the people at the top of my 'want to meet' list!
