This programme would have probably been more appropriate for their 50th birthday last year, but on Saturday 3rd January at 4:45pm, STV are showing a programme which counts down their top 30 shows.

The list of all the shows is here:

http://www.stv.tv/top30

Voting has closed, but there's clips of all the shows there.

Rather unsurprisingly, Grampian's output has been almost completely ignored, with only one of their programmes (Unsolved) featuring in the list. The only other Grampian programme in the list is North Tonight, although this is grouped with Scotland Today under "The Scottish News".

The Steamie, and a documentary about it, are being shown on Sunday 4th, so this could be the number one show.

Had you seen it, you would also agree that The Steamie should be No1 on that list. Nothing else comes close on STVs list of programmes.

I believe I saw a trailer for Grampian's top 50. You did check before starting a thread moaning about it, didn't you?

According to Digiguide you've got STV's best 30 shows at 4.45pm followed by an episode of the winning show 6.50-7.20pm.

I assume it won't be Taggart winning by the half hour slot allocated then?!

The programme is called "STV's Top 30 Shows", which covers Scottish TV and Grampian TV programmes, as both companies are now known as STV. The programme is being shown in both regions, and there isn't a "Grampian Top 50" Programme! The online voting was the same, just one list for STV.

What makes you think that I haven't seen The Steamie already?

I'll tell you what I saw - it was a Grampian branded trail on STV for BBC Alba.

So make of that what you will

I was shocked they called it that to be honest......thought PQ would have wanted to ditch all trace of Grampian!!

It is poor though........no thought at all for the North viewers??
