I see, maybe these local channels choose to have the same amount of ads as "normal" channels, however, they appear to be technically allowed to have more than 12 minutes (at least I think):
https://www.ofcom.org.uk/__data/assets/pdf_file/0014/32162/costa-april-2016.pdf

"2. Time devoted to television advertising and teleshopping spots on any channel in
any clock hour must not exceed 12 minutes."
"Rules 2 to 5 do not apply to:
• advertising by the broadcaster in connection with its own programmes and
ancillary products directly derived from those programmes;
• local digital television programme services (“L-DTPS”) not receivable outside
the UK (e.g. a DTT service not receivable outside the UK, or an encrypted
satellite service); and
• teleshopping windows (see Rules 6 and 7)."

Well it seems there is a Summer ident or either that is sunny scenes of scotland Ident. Still no sign of the rare Travel ident but it does seems the long sports idents has been taken out of action until August.

10:30pm - 11:30pm - Peter & Roughie's Football Show ( Repeat except Thursdays when the late show is on)
11:30pm - 12:00am - Paul & Nick's Big Food Trip

Even STV are really pushing it with their local channel, There could move live at 5 to STV, and long with Scottish six, I bet the Late show could be broadcast on STV at 10.30 on friday and repeat on Sat/Sun.

STV seem to have successfully perverted the entire "Local TV" original concept.

I can't believe Fair City is being inflicted on the lovely country of Scotland.

Still a shame they nationalised it, though understandably a cost saving, but not one they really should have been allowed to make. Even if the truly local news was only pre-recorded updates on the hour and the full bulletins were Scotland wide, perhaps with an opt, it would at least retain some locality.

Although the ratings for most things are nothing to shout about have to wonder how well the 10pm bulletin does versus News at Ten. There might be an audience for a Scottish Ten (though they've never marketed it as such) but really with an hour of news on STV most nights then you'd think they'd look to capture an alternative audience.

ALL the local news is live, and there is also full 30 mins lunchtime bulletin at 1pm. Aberdeen newsroom covers the 8pm and 9pm news.

There is mid afternoon news at the weekends which complements the evening bulletin, which maybe be the reason why the local news is shorter on sat/sun evenings now???

Isn't all the "local" news though played out nationally, so although Dundee for example might get a couple of updates a day they also get the updates for Aberdeen and Glasgow.
