I would put this into the local channel thread but STV local channels are of a higher grade compared to the rest-especial with this type of thing happening:
The two STV local channels Edinburgh and Glasgow will be rebranded as STV2 and will be joined by Aberdeen, Ayr and Dundee, so that more work for Dundee and Aberdeen newsrooms.
Coinciding with the rebrand, STV will launch STV News Tonight, a new flagship news bulletin for STV2, bringing together Scottish, UK and international news reports from STV and ITV News in one programme for the very first time. The 30 minute programme will air on weeknights at 7pm on STV2 and streamed live on the STV Player.
It also means rebranding with new idents, since the current crop of 5 main ones dont really promo STV2 brand very well. it will also mean three different versions of Take the high road being played out at once, not easy going it is?
Local television stations: not amateurish crap at all. (This is Made in Tyne & Wear) pic.twitter.com/TOi4ebYDBe
