STV rebrand in a month

Details of new idents released (April 2006)

'andrewglasgow' did say "possibly some other places too" so you never know.

But "possibly" is not good enough......this new (?) named station is serving all Scotland and all Scotland should be represented!!

How would you all feel if in 1999 Grampian bought Scottish and moved everything but a small newsroom and studio cupboard up to Aberdeen. Then a few years later ditched the name Scottish and rebranded everything Grampian TV......how would all feel??? Mad

Aberdeen is 'sort of' represented in the new idents - the one with the model has been shot at "Aberdeen's Marischal Hall", whatever the flip that is.

Anyone heard anything as to when this switchover's going to happen? The current package is looking very tired.

Correction, Barney - it will cover most of Scotland. If anything it will highlight the anomaly of having Border serving South Scotland.

It may be looking tired but at least we still have the name Grampian.....long may they stay!!!

It's very strange that with such a major relaunch shortly there hasn't been much news on the logo, idents and colour scheme.

Does anyone know anything yet?

well I rang up Scottish tv, and asked them
it wil be happening on May 30th althourgh thats tuesday but the 29th is bank hoilday so it might just happen.

also it going to be a BIG Surprize what there are, no sneake peaks

Bank holiday in England but NOT in Scotland......mind you it might be a local Glasgow holiday and thus means that North Scotland now has to follow the central belt rule!!

the last time I cheaked al the banks are shut on a bank hoildays, althrough that topice has started a argument about getting the 2nd of januray of scots workers instead of good friday

i know the newsroom has just had a facelift will it get a new logo and is STV having a new log made???
