It looks like Crystal Amber have named their price they are willing to sell their stake at.

Looks like someone is expecting a payday for this deal and making sure ITV pays for it. It could also be a double bluff to keep ITV away. I still think ITV would be better off keeping far away from STV for the time being, Maybe once everything else has calmed down it could possible take another look.

Keep ITV away? Given Crystal Amber's history in it's previous investments, I very much doubt that (just look at their investment in Pinewood).

They want a sale.

ITV are the only logical buyers so STV can pretty much name their price.

All this talk of keeping ITV away or making them pay as much as possible has a slight whiff of arrogance to it.

I'm not the shareholder who wants an £1.50 or 1/3 more in cash terms than the current state price......

I still believe itv would be better off staying away until 2020.

That 2nd referendum won't happen any time soon.

This talk of a bid for STV being inevitable, it's worth thinking, ITV might bid, if they think they can get it at the right price.

You're not going to bid twelve for something if you think you can get it for ten.

Absolutely. But STV know ITV want the missing piece of the puzzle. That gives them enormous leverage in any deal.
