Is that from the STV Glasgow Riverside Show set?

Yes.

Interesting use of STV2 (sorry, I mean STV local Edinburgh and Glasgow channels Wink ) to continue the fundraising programme whilst Channel 3 takes Coronation Street. They still managed a "Back at 9pm" on-screen reminder though, just for a few seconds at a time.

Sounds fairly sensible to me.

Yes, I meant "good use" of the local channels. The local channel presenters have come on leaps and bounds since those channels launched, and very little of this output can be criticised. Lots of handing over of cheques, but the pace is fairly brisk.

What exactly is the content of this other than appeal films (I assume)?

Talking to guest, and taking to other studios in STV network, We just had Andrea speaking to the first minster. I dont think there is any live music this year. Last year During the Still game live stage show, STV appeal went across live.

Could do with some bands or something, but there are appeal films, pre-recorded summary reports of events that have been carried out across the year in various places, and obviously a lot of name-checks for sponsors and companies. There is a bit too much handing cheques over though, getting a bit dull.

Finally, I missed Sean the weatherman on the roof:

Sean did a four day cycle across Scotland meeting various fundraisers, which was turned into a 30 minute tour of Scotland in it's own right as a recorded programme. Again, the pace was fairly quick so didn't feel like a drag.

Show finished before the News at Ten, with announcement of £2.9m raised (£1m was match funding from SNP Scottish Government). There was a wee fireworks show over the SSE Hydro on the other side of the Clyde to finish up. A decent show from STV.

I was out last night and missed it. Looks good! Is that the highest amount they've raised on the live show?
