STV Main Thread:

As far as I know he's still at STV, but no longer part of the Nightshift team

Maybe a personal thing for me but I never really rated him on The Night shift - he has a point though on his Facebook page about the age of some of the clips - also think it would be good if they showed it 7 nights a week and committed to it which I assume there is the archive material to sustain - if he is still at STV it's maybe not the most sensible thing for him to do criticising them on social media

Yeah you've got a point. I don't watch the Nightshift very much, but when I do, it's always the same clips of video and music. It's very lazy considering how cheap it'd be to put together.

Doesn't seem like a good idea to slag 3 of STV's programmes when you work for them.

That's why I assumed he had left - seems to do a good job having a go at his former boss as well which wouldn't be the brightest move if he was still there

Half of the old content is now on STV Glasgow/Edinburgh. True enough each week it's the same 20 clips are used from The Hour. It's effectively a 'radio service' overnight with some archive clips - surely from time to time they could edit some more pieces. As in essence it is a good idea at little cost but seems to have fell away since been shunted around the amount of days on air and so on. Seems like an eternity since they had four different opts briefly!

Am amazed they don't make more if it and their archive - more use of Jim Symon is nice though

They said last night on The NightShift that it was going back to 7 nights in a couple of weeks - good for us insomniacs

STV is having technical problems right now, quite possibly the first time STV broke down with its new logo.

Just a round up. STV has a Weekend promo, not up to the same standards has last years. There is no winter season ident this time around, hopeful the spring ident will appear in 5 weeks time. Broadchurch ident has two version and will only be seen for two more times.

I really hate how all their slides and endboards insist on having titles in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS.

Whoever determined that should be the house style needs a word.
