Possibly, its the first time i've seen stv's, makes a change from the usual black and white vt clock.

Strange they'd include the VT clock in the graphics package, when the general public aren't supposed to see them.

Yes. And for Post Production houses it acts as a kind of commercial as well - you never know who in the industry will see your clocks during the production process.

There was a craze for sweep, rather than step, clock hands a while back, which were worse than useless. Luckily they have been specifically veto-ed by the new industry-wide DPP rules (as they were under the old BBC Tech Review standards) Try cue-ing a sweep clock accurately and you'll know why...

The VT clocks are all pre-generated these days, so why not include them within the design of a graphics package?

STV keep playing announcerless idents during the football breaks for some reason.

It's an ITV 4 game being shown on STV as well given it's Celtic. Seems that the ITV4 break lengths don't match STV's stock of ads, bumpers and promos, so idents are being used to cover some of the ITV promos at the end of the ad break before the sponsor sting kicks in.

NEW IDENT: TWO LONG X Factor ident and bumpers... Watch out!!

Also Watch out the STV promos will be out in Force this week for the second dabate, new season STV player etc...

When is the first day of Autumn? That is when the summer ident should get replaced by an Autumn one.
