Teething troubles for the DOG yesterday morning. Initially in a box:

And a bugbear with the HD DOG is that the point of the logo doesn't align with the horizontal bar of the H as it does in the idents.

Ooh those idents are good, apart from the Emmerdale/Coronation Street style ones that stick out like a sore thumb against the rest!

I know what you mean about the Corrie and Emmerdale idents. I had hoped that they'd get rid of the programme idents altogether when they rebranded, but at least they're not as bad as the programme idents in the old package.

I don't like how some of the pictures are official press shots (eg. Maria in Corrie and Chas in Emmerdale) and some are just shots from episodes.

How about when a member of cast leaves? Chris Gasgoine is leaving the part of Peter Barlow soon so I assume they'll have to tweak the ident.

They tweaked the soap idents in the old package, so I imagine they'll do it in the new one as well. I'd rather they replaced them with proper idents though.

I agree.

However, it seems to be the fashion recently to just have idents used for both SD & HD services, without the mention that one is HD - just downscaling that ident for the SD channel.

I do prefer what STV have done though, in keeping the ones with the HD channel name.

Current Six idents DO have names, Alas I don't know which names goes with which Ident..
