Do you mean the whole package or the TV programme Idents?

The whole package just doesn't work for me - but yes, the programme idents are especially bad. With the main idents featuring quite pacey live-action sequences, the programme idents jar by being composed of stills.

Plus they should have taken the opportunity to refresh the logo and get rid of the multimedia play symbol which dates it badly.

I can see you point about the programme Idents, saying that both soap ident from the other package were tad poor aswell. I doubt STV was going to get rid of the Big S and Triangle look, it seem to have stuck fast with it.

Disappointing lack of caps and videos of this rebrand.

I will say one good thing about the new STV idents - they are in HD, unlike other channels... not at all looking at UTV, BBCs One, Two and Four, Channel 5...

In my humble opinion, the idents look very Scandinavian, seeing as Dixon Baxi have also done MTV in Finland, I wonder if they drew some inspiration from that?

Was hoping to see a nicer looking "Nightshift", the show's a good idea but looks terrible.

The current grahpic have been in place for a year.

Stv has six main idents, with six short versions plus the two programme idents, i dare say will expand.

Teething troubles for the DOG yesterday morning. Initially in a box:

And a bugbear with the HD DOG is that the point of the logo doesn't align with the horizontal bar of the H as it does in the idents.
