TT ... You simply haven't a clue about radio wave propogation, if you did you would realise why completing whole regions in isolation would have prolonged the process and indeed have meant some areas going without service for a period of time too.
Wouldn't it have made more sense to have completed STV Central in April, before doing all of Central, followed by all of Yorkshire, and finally all of Anglia?
It's very simplified and isn't exactly how things actually happened in real life, but it will give you an idea as to the issues in planning the switchover process

I have played with that game. It says Belmont must be converted before Tacolneston, but Belmont has already switched and Tacolneston isn't due to switch until November.
Interestingly it says Emley Moor and Sutton Coldfield must be switched together; indeed they will both switch together next week.

Having played the game several times, I don't see how switching one transmitter to digital can completely knock out a neighbouring one.
For example, in that game, switching Sandy Heath knocks out Oxford. Why? Is Oxford a relay of Sandy Heath?
