STV 60th Birthday: 31 August

I would kept this to mains but it seems STV are going to use both STV and STV2 to promote the birthday.

I just saw a promo for STV2 were there going to broadcast a number of classic shows over one weekend for its birthday.

Will be interesting to see if anything from Grampian turns up.

Most likely not as Grampian wasn't formed until the 30th of September 1961...

Don't rule it out. It 60th years of broadcasting in scotland. And many people in Perth and Dundee were able to watch stv until 61 😝

A lot of people in the borders watched STV before Border was launched too.

There is also another programme on Tuesday at 19.30. I still think we might get a 60th year programme like the one there did 30th and 50th birthday.

There promos now have 60 years tag line added to some of them. Just spotted the Corrie promo ( the one on the film set) and it has that tag line.

I noticed a large ITV logo fades up at the end of that Corrie promo. I assume STV covered it up with their own endboard?

Yeah, I expected UTV's to be the same as ITV's with the logo replaced. Same edit as on any of their trailers.

Is it just me, or is there a faint diamond behind that 60 years badge on the STV endboard? Kinda reminds me of the Grampian logo.
