Let's hope they won't rub salt into our " STV North " wounds by broadcasting it to the old Grampian area. However, I can't see them thinking about this...

John MacKay on the stv forums has said that any birthday programmes will only air in Central Scotland.
This must mean that STV North may just get their own continuity announcements again ( even for only one or two programmes ). Or maybe they'll just do the old Derek Griffiths CITV opt out trick "...And now a surprise! "

The only thing is, stv central's birthday is next Friday, yet there are no special programmes that day or close to that day, even though we were told there would be a special show. Maybe we are now only getting a few reports on Scotland Today?

The logo has turned gold on the breakbumpers and promos. On the idents, the logo goes gold when it's overlaid on the screen with the phrase "entertaining scotland for 50 years" below it. You can't really see the "stv.tv" bit on the big S.
I am guessing the ex-Grampian region are seeing the same things.

50 years is a big milestone. Changing the properties of the logo and putting text below it will suffice, but I'd have loved to have seen a completely unique special ident thrown in there, rather than just adaptations of existing ones.
