I don't have a TV so I can't see em Sad . Would be good if they make some more idents, cause 6 is likely to get a bit boring after a while.

A perfect example of why you should always wait to see a logo on screen before forming an opinion on it. The use of the triangle is extremely clever, particularly during the news.

Exactly. The logo sucks on its own, in print, but on the idents, it works.

I'm liking these idents! Music is quite modern and catchy as well

In many ways the new look is reminiscent of the original Grampian 'tracing paper' ident. Have we come full circle? Razz

I love the whole look - STV seem to continue to excel with their graphics since the poor celebrity idents from a few years back.

Not sure why but it reminds me of the post-Thistle look - probably because of the potential variety of them.

I was thinking the same myself...

The triangles look like the original Grampian mountains...

The St Andrew's Cross theme.... enough said.

And the "stv" logo... again enough said.

Coincidence - or not?

Probably not a coincidence.

Its the first time STV (proper) have been able to make use of the St Andrew's cross - it having been Grampian's property for so many decades.

Its terrific. Really like the animations on both the flip book and the sliding triangles. I actually tuned back and forth to watch the junctions last night - first time I've done that in years

I think this one is my favourite (rather than the other 'socialising' one with the dancing), the music is very upbeat and the images have that feel-good factor.
