Logo looks like it was done in five minutes in a fresh install of Photoshop.
My first impressions of the logo was that (as someone else said) a five minute photoshop job; I see they've still kept the 'S' so I'll reserve judgment when I see them onscreen.
They don't look bad, I'm sure they could have come up with far worse, good to see they've kept the British Steel 'S' and put TV next to it this time, it doesn't look that right on it's own.
I love the new logo. I'm so glad they've added something to that annoying S - never been a fan of it on it's own. The 'stv.tv' text always looked pretty squashed in to me.
The idents look quite nice too actually. The Viewpoint one is visually beautiful, some really nice shots in it. The music reminds me of a Scottish tourism ad but that's no bad thing really.
I'd be interested to see the graphics too because the background at the end of the ident looks nice. And let's hope they fix the ECP which covers part of the credits on some ITV shows.
Much nicer logo IMO, in print at least. Not so sure about it on screen though - the idents could be better, but I do like how they end with a graphical ident rather than just slapping the logo over the live action.
Alarm bells begin to ring with the STV News at Six - will make it easier for them to merge the sub-regions in the future.
Not fussed on the logo on its own but the idents look really good.
As for those programmes; can they not produce programming with a Scottish accent rather than just have endless programmes celebrating Scotland's Scottishness?!
