It seems there cutting back, or to some putting back to how it should be, the sunday night results show is now been killed off.

Quote:
BBC One show Strictly Come Dancing is to drop its Sunday night results programme, it has been announced.

Viewers will see couples compete, face the public vote and have the dance-off all in a single extended programme on Saturday evenings.

The pre-recorded Sunday show was introduced in 2007. The new series of Strictly begins in September.

A spokesman for the BBC said: "We are packing all the action into one dramatic show."

The new series will launch with two special Friday night shows, but will switch to Saturdays from then on.

Will this work against X factor? somehow I don't think so

I think Strictly has had its time now. I think if Arlene was still there it might have survived but with Alesha Dixon as a judge to me it's just going to look tacky.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is Len's last series and perhaps even Brucie's. That's when it will be well a truly over.

Surely Brucie's departure could only improve it.

However, no Camilla Dallerup and no Karen Hardy this year... that doesn't bode well. That's the two best choreographers gone.

Aww, I'm a Brucie fan.

And the way things are going, I wouldn't be surprised if they got Vernon Kay to present (or worse Nick Knowles...) which can only be worse.

Me too. Its made for Brucie - one of the great all rounders in entertainment.

I love Bruce Forsyth.

And I love the NHS.

And my cat loves Whiskas.

Well, despite the dreadful publicity at the end of the last series, with all those RIP-OFF BBC headlines, the final got the show's highest rating ever, and it beat Corrie on Christmas Day. So as far as I can see it's in fine form.

It wouldn't be so bad if they bring back Arlene as well as having Alesha. The ideal line up next series:

Judges:
Criag Revel Horwood
Len Goodman
Arlene Phillips
That other guest judge as a main judge.
Bruno Tonioli

Presenters:
Bruce Forsyth
Alesha Dixon
Tess Daly

How on earth could the use 3 presenters? It sometimes seems like they stretch it a bit with having two! And I can't see the point of a 5th judge... 4 is more than enough!

I think they should just put Alesha on the update shows "It Takes Two"

And leave Strictly how it is , and reinstate Arlene Phillips

That's the best solution I think.

ITV would do well to snap her up to replace Ruthie Henshall on Dancing on Ice - indeed I'm surprised that hasn't been touted.
Turns out nobody had 2020 vision.

I think Claudia Winkleman's It Takes Two is the best thing on TV. Seriously hilarious. Don't get rid of our Clauders'!!!
