It's a hell of a good line up names-wise this year and in very difficult circumstances too.

Although possibly easier circumstances to book better contestants - there's less work around

Less work but more deathly illness around.

I have to ask you to check the number of COVID 19 deaths here in the UK versus the population, and then reflect how deathly it is. Given the fact that the majority of people who catch it recover, and a large chunk have very mild or asymptomatic symptoms.

Sorry, got a bit ahead of myself here, I apologise.

Have they said anything about the Halloween show? I think if they're starting late October it would due to be the first or second show - and with contestants presumably doing their own make up I'm guessing it might be out. I suspect any song relating in anyway to death is probably considered bad taste too, considering COVID 19 is very deathly to the people who have died from it.

Make up artists are back working on ITV’s Daytime programmes as mentioned by several of their presenters, so I can’t see any reason why they wouldn’t be able to work on Strictly with appropriate measures put in place.

Well I guess they use about as much make up on Loose Women as they do on the Strictly Halloween ep. Very Happy

The Best of shows are apparently starting on 19th September, leaving the launch show for 17th October and the main show starting on 24th October, as previously predicted.

Haven't they said there wouldn't be a pairing up launch show this year?

I haven’t read anything about that, I don’t see why there couldn’t be one.

One of the lighting team, apparently - unfortunately it is one of those departments where close working is inevitable due to the size and weight of moving lights and other items. Speaking from experience...
