What happened to that really cheap glitterball ident they made for the show? And I don't get why they don't have them ready for when the series has started.

The glitterball got dropped due to it not being in keeping with Strictlys new colour scheme this year, overlooking the fact that BBC One is still red!

That's a silly decision.

The results show is getting really crap. Annie Lennox doing her dreary new song without any dancers (FFS!), Alesha getting her usual free plug for a song I can't even remember, and The Sodding Soldiers, a marketing invention so cynical it makes the Cowell shenanigans on the other side look positively saintly in comparison (though on the plus side, at least they did have Vincent and Flavia dancing to them. Vincent and Flavia are beyond awesome.) And the attempts at suspense are getting laughable - did anyone really believe either Kara or Ann could possibly be in the bottom two? Strewth.

I agree with most of your points. According to Exec Producer Moira Ross in Radio Times, singers get asked if they would like the dancers perfom with them, so I presume in this case Annie Lennox said no, which is strange on a show which is set around dancing! I agree aswell the shameless plugging of the Alesha Dixon single is frankly an insult, funny if she is such a good judge of dancing and dancer herself she decided not to dance a step!

This week's result follows...

Ann and Anton out! I genuinely thought they were going to win it. But hey, I'm glad to see the back of her. Not because of the dancing, but because she's an evil bigoted old scumbag who should be as much a pariah as Robert Kilroy Silk.

So you know the result already Jenny? How come? The results show isn't on until 7:30pm tonight.

You do know it's recorded on Saturday night, don't you? Incidentally...

...you're quite right about Scott needing the votes, as he's the other dancer in the bottom two.

As was always going to happen - despite the fuss, these things always end up the same way.

And I see Strictly tweaked the titles and graphics again yesterday for "Movie Night" - it's one show where a boosted budget has seen a noticeable improvement. Be interesting to see though if that standard remains with the licence fee freeze over the next few years.

I can't stand Ann, but I wish she'd won just to upset you.

That and I love Titanic, and want anyone who references it to win everything.

There is a an argument to be had about whether the BBC should include stories about Strictly Come Dancing, The X-Factor and I'm a Celebrity in their news bulletins and I'm sure that argument has been had many times before (if not here, then definitely on Digital Spy) but let's give them the benefit of the doubt for a moment and accept that Strictly Come Dancing news will be included in some BBC News bulletins on television and other platforms.

With that in mind, is it right that they don't report the news until after the Sunday programme has been shown? If it is valid news then it shouldn't it be reported on the next available bulletin after the result has been announced on Saturday rather than after the programme has been broadcast on Sunday?

It just seems odd that they are quite happy to report on political announcements before they are made, financial stories before they have happened and court cases before a verdict has been reached but will respect their own embargo for an entertainment programme that has yet to be broadcast.

Interesting point - and one that applies to the rest of the media too. They though usually respect embargoes in exchange for interviews and other snippets - but what would be the BBC's excuse?
