Brucie is the same man he always was, and has more energy on stage than some half his age.

Its already been stated what is wrong on this show - the fact that it is live and has a lot of autocue script to get through.

He really is the right man for the job though - light entertainment saturday night - and ballroom dancing being his passion.

Just a pity they couldn't spend a long and funny afternoon pre-rec'ing the whole show for a tight edit.

The you'd see the Brucie we all love. And I mean that most sincerely, folks.


I hope you're right, I love Brucie dearly but he seems slow, dithery and worn out on this new show. For example, how lame is his new catchphrase "Nice to twirl you, to twirl you nice". Pitiful really.

What is Brucie on tonight. Has he been told he'll be shot if the show runs over by 1 second. His constant 'hurry up its a live show, be quiet, quickly get a move on' is ruining the whole atmosphere.

What is wrong with the picture quality on Strictly Come Dancing? Every time they do the scores, and at the start of each dance the picture flicks around, and generally goes to very bad picture quality.

The whole programme seemed rushed tonight, and the audience need to learn to respect the opinions of professional judges. Booing is plain rude.

They should pre- record the programme, taking as long as they need, and edit it according to the time slot to get rid of this rushed feel.

Anyone see Laurie Holloway trying to play the famous Wurlitzer?

I've actually been in that Ballroom (not to dance) but I was on a day trip to Blackpool to see Peter Kay's tour and saw the Ratpack tribute playing at the ballroom. Very grand indeed.

I think either Natasha and Brendan or Chris and Hannah should win. I must say Hannah was looking so sexy tonight Very Happy and Natasha, man she is oblivious! We are seeing her wild side! Very Happy

That reminds me of one of the early Lottery draws in the days when they visited different parts of the UK and one week it came from an old cinema and someone had the guts to have all the musical stings and the stabs to accompany the ball entrances during the draw played on a Wurlitzer organ. It may have been Ed Welch who was playing it as he composed the Lottery themes that were used at the time.

I agree! WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE PICTURE QUALITY WHEN THE JUDGES GIVE THEIR SCORES????

It has happened every week now! And it was doing it more than ever yesterday! However, on Sky Digital, there were no problems at all! But it was terrible on terrestrial!

Why was there no apology??? And why has this being going on now for 4 weeks in a row???

Can someone explain this at all....PLEASE!!!!! Rolling Eyes

AFAIK the show is always live on a Saturday - certainly all the stars are wondering round TVC during the day. Have seen Christopher, Natasha and Claire in civvies before rehearsal.

I wonder if there's a chance of them repeating a few runs of the "old style" Come Dancing, maybe on THREE, or on Gold? I'd be very interested to see how well (or not) they stand up to the test of time.

If nothing else, it would be a chance to marvel at the amazing outfits worn by Angela Rippon and Rosemary Ford.
