Looks like Alan Dedicoat is on tape for this show. The reason why I say this is that anyone who remembers right at the start of the show when the first couple came on to start their dancing, Alan said sommat along the lines of "Judges, let's have your scores please" and then immediately afterwards Alan said "Ladies and Gentleman, please welcome onto the stage...."

Interesting, let alone Brucie's autocue reading Smile

Two things:

ONE: Bruce is DREADFUL with autocue - always has been.

TWO: What the SAM Hill has Bruce done with his face?!?!? Has anyone else notice the work he's had done??!?? All the character's gone! Why, Brucey? Why?!?!?

Hmm - or you haven't seen him live working and/or working with Autocue before...

Don't forget most of his recent shows have been pre-recorded (where you can have lots of takes to get things right) - and have been a bit more ad-libby than this show (which is quite structured to allow the performers to move around)

Sorry, but have I missed something? Why's Come Dancing on BBC Three? I thought Three was for young people. Ballroom dancing is for old codgers.

Are the BBC mad?

Bah, it's all modern though in'it! I couldn't imagine the show getting anywhere if it went on it's old values. Did the original show have popular music being danced to or was it the ye olde traditional stuff?

I really enjoy this programme - all of it - well, apart from Bruce Forsythe!

Bruce is terrible at presenting LIVE programmes and its cringworthy watching his attempt at reading an autocue and being spontaneous!

The audience just dont laugh at his lines when he expects them to, he squints at the autocue and his timing is abysmal!

A great programme spoiled by Brucie but then infact it actually adds another layer to the programme watching how poor Brucie really is as a live presenter these days!

It's time to say what a lot of people are thinking. Brucie is past it . That hurt, and I took no pleasure in saying it.

Brucie is a national institution, one of the greats. He was brilliant at game shows, I especially loved The Price is Right and the Generation Game, but just recently standards have slipped, ever since they brought back Play Your Cards Right a year or so ago.

He seemed to lose it not long after he fell out with David Liddiment. Now he's just a very poor imitation of his former self. Time you enjoy your retirement.

Brucie is the same man he always was, and has more energy on stage than some half his age.

Its already been stated what is wrong on this show - the fact that it is live and has a lot of autocue script to get through.

He really is the right man for the job though - light entertainment saturday night - and ballroom dancing being his passion.

Just a pity they couldn't spend a long and funny afternoon pre-rec'ing the whole show for a tight edit.

The you'd see the Brucie we all love. And I mean that most sincerely, folks.
