A lot of Sky One's recent shows is that some of these shows have went straight to On Demand. It seems like Sky is pushing a sort of Netflix-type service in order to gain more customers and to push it's Q service, meaning that some of the channels purposes has been diminished. Why would I watch Sky One or Sky Arts when the episodes are already there On Demand?
Most of the Sky original productions have been made on-demand - viewers are a damn sight more likely to binge shows than wait for a week, unless it is a highly anticipated series, as London Lite has mentioned. It doesn't render the Sky entertainment channels obsolete - they are still there to bolster Sky TV/NOW TV and it still brings in a chunk of ad revenue for Sky.
