Yes what we really need to replace a televised fake casino overnight on ITV is more ways to buy memory foam
mattresses, glorified paint rollers, and miracle grills that can cook a complete family meal in 20 seconds!

*sigh* if only there was something like Night Network, or even rolling ITV News.

I wish there was a service that I could watch TV programmes I actually like at 3am.

Oh. On demand.

WHOOOOSH!

I understood the joke, I just diverted. There's more than enough choice in 2019.

It's 2-3am, I'm still awake, so what do I do? Watch some repetitive infomercials, catch up on season 4 of "Better Call Saul" on Netflix, raise hell in Los Santos or Liberty City, Steelport or Stilwater on my XB1 ... or try and get some actual sleep. Yeah, choice is good.

Not everyone wants to pay the extortionate charges Netflix levy.

Also, some people still like to watch their television on a television and not a computer or tablet.

I don't want to have to be hooking my laptop up at 3am in order to watch something on demand, when I have a television set in my bedroom but isn't showing any decent programmes.

Err £7.99 per month? I pay £52 per month for Sky TV (people pay lots more you know), and the vast majority of channels FTA and pay show Teleshopping during the night anyway...

True, but the audience during the middle of the night is minimal. People who have to be up during the night are usually in work, and for those on their nights off they’ve probably become accustom making their own entertainment during the night time hours.

You’re probably in a minority then. Get a Fire TV stick or Roku equivalent for £25 to watch the FTA catch up services if it really bothers you, given that you’re posting on an online forum internet access shouldn’t be an issue.

What makes you think people don't watch Netflix on a TV? I seldom watch it on anything else. If you don't have a Smart TV then as long as you have a TV with an HDMI input you can use something for <£20 to watch Netflix on it (like a Now TV Smart Stick)

Or if you're already paying for Sky or Virgin, then it's built in.

Isn't it only built-in on Sky Q?

Please tell me it's not running at 1080i50 or 2160p50 output for 23.976Hz content?! That's a long way from 'premium' quality on a platform like Sky Q...

That's terrible if so. If Sky's NOW TV 4K box can handle 23.976Hz content, then the premium doorstop should as well!
