Stars In Their Eyes....any idea if it's returning?

Although I thought Stars In Their Eyes was finished for good, I'm sure I have read somewhere it may still return with a new presenter.
Personally, I would like to see Matthew Kelly present once again. Having been in the audience a couple of times - once with Matthew presenting and the other with Cat Deely, Matthew stood out by miles with his warmth, humour and contact with the audience and contestants - something sadly lacking on Cat's part.
I think it is unlikely Matthew would return and Cat seems busy in the U.S., so who would be ideal? Confused
Also, hope it's still recorded at Granada ( "The Manchester Studios " ) and not moved to London!

Not too sure about Russ Abbott Rolling Eyes
Kate Thornton........good 1! Greg Scott..........when I said I thought he was good on Big Box Bingo.......I was aacused of either being related.....or had my evil way with him!!!! ALTHOUGH.....I do think he would be quite good......and he has the experience of the programme as he used to be " warm up man " Laughing

Russ Abbott has had more experience than Greg Scott. He presented an episode of Stars in their Eyes, an Elvis special. I believe this episode has only ever been shown twice, once by ITV and once by Challenge. Highlights include a Chinese Elvis IIRC.

Thing is though SITE has been made rather redundant of late thanks to stuff like "X Factor" and "How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?" Programmes where you can go, sing, and actually make something of yourself from it!

SITE is just a glamorised kareoke - no real incentive to enter.

Maybe people don't want to become a full time Robbie Williams - they just want to have a bit of fun, as I imagine the viewers do. Not everybody wants to make something professional out of a hobby.
