What relevance does that have? We asked 100 people to guess where Anthony Cotton lives..
You said Manchester.. our survey said *bing* top answer!

This series also has a ‘through the keyhole’ element where the viewer gets to see around the celeb’s house and guess whose home it is. Other familiar faces taking part in the series are Anthony Cotton

Surely they've done this over the previous series where they go around their home with the rest of the family.
I'm glad that they're doing a new series, it has been a great revival for the programme. Why is it that Britain won't use the general public anymore?
Even Hole In The Wall (that is going to begin on BBC One soon with Dale Winton) is using celebrities and is the only country to do so (according to Dale Winton).

Because the general public would rather see celebrities make a fool of themselves on Saturday nights. Duel proved earlier this year that a civllian series doesn't get massive ratings but a celebrity series such as Mr & Mrs can. Millionaire also suffered badly in 2007 which lead ITV to move the civillian episodes to Tuesdays and celebrity specials on Saturday, Beat the Star is back next year but it features a member of the public and a celebrity in some form.

Yet Duel was excellent - and Mr & Mrs was trash. I assume that unfortunately Duel though has paid the price for it's poor ratings and not got recommissioned.
As for Millionaire though - it's the endless celebrity specials which killed it as the show forgot it's original premise.

Yes. Vernon is now working on Family Fortunes and Beat the Star which is returning in 2009.
Im glad - Beat the Star was really good and something different to the soaps which used to dominate Sunday nights. I also really like All Star Family Fortunes, Vernon is a great host.

On a somewhat related note, is Gameshow Marathon gone for good?

Ominiously, Duel was not mentioned in the entertainment section of the ITV Autumn/Winter press pack - whilst Beat The Star was.
I hope it does come back - but I fear that ITV killed it before it got the viewers attention. It was far too exposed on a Saturday night being shoved in the middle of bad programmes which erroded viewer inheritance (having to pick the channel back up after a totally unnecessary 30 min advert for Dancing On Ice).
It also didn't help ITV saying it was the new Millionaire, whilst the old one was still sweating it out on a Tuesday night (where Duel should have started out, before being moved around series 2 on to Saturday nights)
