A number of soap stars have signed up to take part in the new series of All Star Family Fortunes.

Coronation Street actress Kym Ryder, better known as barmaid Michelle Connor, has agreed to lead her family in a battle against Big Brother 2 winner Brian Dowling and his loved ones.

Emmerdale's Sammy Winward (Katie Sugden), former Corrie star Nikki Sanderson (Candice Stowe) and The Bill's Louisa Lytton and Ben Richards - who play Beth Green and Nate Roberts - have also been lined up.

A spokeswoman told The Sun: "In this series the celebs and their families are bidding to win up to £30,000 for the charities of their choice. There are some hilarious moments."

The ITV1 gameshow, which returns on October 27, will once again be hosted by Vernon Kay.

Im glad this is coming back as I enjoyed the last series, however I would still prefer it if its wasnt always celebrities.

Looks like you have got your way. Brian Dowling's "loved ones" are not celebrities (as far as I know).

Yes but it would be nice if they had some ordinary versions of the show without celebs and their families.

Oh well at least Vernon is hosting again, I thought he did great on this last year and on Gameshow Marathon.

The title sequence for this show is so cringe-makingly cheesy it's genius. There must be a lot of appeal in seeing Vernon getting zapped in the arse and reacting in the campest way possible.

What happened to ITV's plans to stop relying on celebrities? Do they think that just by calling it "All Star" rather than "Celebrity" they can fool the public?

If the format doesn't stand up without celebs, it's not worth doing!

I agree with that, but will they have to re shoot the title sequence as Vernon now has his short hair cut?

Just want to say that it will be intresting to see who else has signed up to have their family appear.

First show is at 8.15pm on Saturday 27th October.

Its got a better slot than last series where the first episode went out at 4.55pm!

The first episode is Angela Griffin vs. Anthony Worrall Thompson, according to Radio Times Online.

I wonder if Vernon will have his new shorter hairstyle.

He has cut his hair? Great Mad .

I thought they had axed All Star Family Fortunes, it seems so long since the last series.
